Painting the Stompa

I spent a little more time painting my Stompa. In the main I used Citadel Base: Mephiston Red.

I think if I am ever going to have a game with this model, I need to paint quicker, and more often.

Ork Stompa Head

Trying to make a determined effort to get my Ork Stompa finished, started to paint more of the head.

Still some way to go.

…and a little bit more.

Paint disaster aside, I spent some time painting a little bit more of my Ork Stompa.

The main problem with the paint was twofold. The first problem was with my Citadel foundation paints they were quite old and had dried out. Second problem was with my Citadel washes, which had gone weird and no amount of mixing could sort them out.

Painting the Stompa

I have started to paint the bodywork of my Ork Stompa.

I am going for a predominantly red colour scheme, but I am using various shades of red and some brown for the effect. I am aiming to have something in the end which will be similar to the GW paintjob as I showed in my previous blog post.

Ork Stompa Weapons

The weapons of my Ork Stompa were undercoated black and then drybrushed with Boltgun Metal and then drybrushed again with Mithril Silver.

I will pick out a few details using a variety of red coloured paints.

I am then going to give the parts a wash with black and brown inks.
