Forge World Malcador Infernus

This Malcador Infernus was part of a large diorama at Warhammer World

A “crocodile” style variant of the Malcador, I do like the rear part of the vehicle I am less so sure about the main weaponry. It looks like a big flamer.

Now I know it is a big flamer, but what I mean is that it looks like an out of scale flamer, a 3-up of a standard flamer rather than an actual flamer which is big!

This Forge World Chaos Warhound Titan was marching across the battlefield at Warhammer World.

Wider angle with Land Raider and Vindicator in shot.

One of the things I like about Warhammer World are being able to see Forge World model in the flesh as it were. You really get a feel for the size and mass of the model, which isn’t always apparent from seeing it on the website.

Chaos Brass Scorpion of Khorne

On display at the Warhammer World was the Chaos Brass Scorpion of Khorne.

Chaos Brass Scorpion of Khorne

This is one of my all time favourite models from Forge World. I seem to be in the minority as I really quite like this model, and if you read this blog I am not a fan of Chaos one bit!

The Brass Scorpion is a terrifying daemonic engine of destruction dedicated to the Chaos God Khorne, Lord of Slaughter. This nightmarish construct, as much hell-spawned beast as war machine, it storms across the battlefield like a monstrous predator hunting and killing. Its huge claws are capable of shredding armour with ease and its firepower laying waste to swathes of enemy infantry. Even in destruction the foes of Chaos have learned to fear this unholy war machine, as its infernally-charged reactor erupts to scorch the battlefield with the fury of its death-throws.

The Brass Scorpion of Khorne is a fantastically impressive resin model designed by Daren Parrwood and this model was  painted by Mark Bedford. I love the paint job on this model, the combination of glossy red and brass details really makes this model both impressive and threatening.

Scythed Hierodule

Scythed Hierodule

This is the Forge World Barbed Scythed at Warhammer World.

The Hierodule is a type of Tyranid Bio-Titan, but stands smaller than its more massive cousin the Hierophant. This class of bioform is brought into action only against the most determined defences. Hierodules are immense creatures, towering over the battlefield and bristling with spines, claws, tendrils and apocalyptic bio-weapons.

It is armed with four huge razor-sharp claws, each capable of slicing clean through a battle tank, and heavily protected by chitin plates, in places up to 30 centimetres thick. A Hierodule is far larger than a Carnifex, a monstrous-killing machine even by Tyranid standards.

Barbed Hierodule

The Barbed Hierodule (Uncus hierodule domitor), is a mutation of the Scythed Hierodule  it, has just two scythe-like claws but now has two massive Bio-cannons. The acidic symbiote creature was gone, and the Hierodule’s frontal chitinous armour plates had grown and thickened for extra protection.
